Cabrillo Field Notes – We Brake for Snakes!

Cabrillo National Monument is home to six different snake species – one of these species, the San Diego Gopher Snake (Pituophis catenifer annectens), is an oft-misidentified and harmless backyard reptile that keeps our ecosystems healthy.
