For those astute readers of the VIP Voice, you’ve probably noticed a few changes in the last few weeks. It was time to do a little fall cleaning and sprucing up. Here’s a summary of the recent improvements made to your VIP Voice:
Welcome to CNMC and CNMF Pages
The Cabrillo National Monument Conservancy (CNMC) and the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation (CNMF) are both nonprofit groups that support the Park. Now each has a page of their own where you can learn about their organizations, activities, and events. Just click on the CNMC or CNMF links in the menu at the top of the page to learn more. Check back regularly as the content will change.
New Current Volunteer Needs Page
Have you ever been curious about new volunteer opportunities in the Park? Then check out the new Current Volunteer Needs page by clicking on the green button to learn about volunteer opportunities in community outreach, new programs, projects, or special events.
General Clean-up
The home page was getting a bit cluttered, so the tag cloud has evaporated; the archives are now in a drop-down menu; the categories are also in a drop-down menu; the number of recent Tweets has been reduced from 5 to 3; and the links to our partners have been moved to the bottom of the page. Some of the other pages are now full-width pages for easier viewing and reading. Grab that mouse and explore!
Remember, this is your tool to keep informed of what’s happening in the Park. Suggestions for improvements and content are always welcome! Just use the “Contact Us” link above.
Happy 1st Birthday VIP Voice!!!
