Dusty Socks Club: Maritime Heritage Walk

IMG_5341Are you interested in San Diego’s maritime heritage?  If so, please join us for a stroll down the Embarcadero for this month’s Dusty Socks Club hike.

Meet at “The Kiss” statue south of the USS Midway at 3 PM Saturday, 18 October 2014, and join us for a leisurely stroll to Seaport Village and to the Maritime Museum.   Learn about maritime history of San Diego and some interesting stories of the ships along the Embarcadero that you might not know.  The hike ends with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Star of India for Dusty Socks Club participants.  Please join us for a fun hike around San Diego.

Duration: 2 hours.  Hike rated: easy, roughly two miles.  Paid parking at the USS Midway ($10 for 12 hours) or take the SDMTS Trolley Green Line to Seaport Village station.
