Next Week at Cabrillo

Here’s what’s happening at Cabrillo 24 October – 2 November:

Tonight learn about the State of the VIP Program at 6:00 PM in the Park Auditorium, and hang around for a little food and camaraderie under the stars.

Saturday, our military living history team opens up Battery E for Open Bunker Day from 10 AM – 4 PM.

Also Saturday, CNM will be represented at the Point Loma Nazarene University Fall Festival, 10 AM – 2:30 PM.

Sunday, make your own chain mail for free at the “Make It & Take It” event sponsored by the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation.  The event is 1 – 3 PM in the Visitor Center.

For those who have signed up for the “Rails to Trails” program, there’s a kick-off meeting in the Park Auditorium at 6 PM on Tuesday.

Friday, there’s a new nature walk around the lighthouse being led by VIP Patricia S.–“Discover Native Point Loma” from 1-2 PM.  Meet at the flagpole.

Sadly, all the decent low tides next week occur after the park is closed.

Finally, enjoy the park while you can in the daylight, as Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, 2 November.
