Common Sense is Paineful

Hello Friends,

We had some low snow on some mountain tops and I am staying warm in a furry hat, along with a furry face. Winter is here, revel in apricity.  I hope you enjoyed the season of hegemony, and got your groove on for 2015.  Thanks for your continued support and I hope the New Year is a good one for you.  Next year, the centennial!

Whale Watch Weekend January 17th and 18thWWWILF

We have a couple new shifts added to help with the festivities.  This year we are making the tidepool road open for only authorized vehicles (same as how the lighthouse road works). Pedestrians, joggers and cyclist have one side, authorized vehicles the other.  If you would like to help out at that capacity please sign up in Volgisitcs.  Edit: Thank you to volunteers already signed up for the event.  Unfortunately I forgot to add new shifts for Sunday.  We are still looking for some help for both days so your presence is appreciated.  Come on up for a fun event and hang out with us.

Trails & Rails, The Hobo Meeting, January 14, 9:00 to 5:00Trails and Rails

If you or anyone you know might find an interest in riding the rails, we have a training set up to embark on this adventure.  Please spread the word to your network.  If you plan to come bring a lunch with you as we only have to offer hot beans from the fire.  If you would like to RSVP please send me an email with “Don’t Throw Mama” in the subject line.

Volunteer Recruitment, January 24th 3:00pm to 5:00pm

If you would like to assist with this recruitment, meet new people and share your Cabrillo experiences you are welcome.  Your presence is a nice addition to the recruitment.  Please let me know if you can help.

New Bedfordshire and a Nantucket Spirit, January 23, 5:30 pmNBWM

The sea was rough that day my friends.  The waves were twice as high as they were wide. Farther Neptune rose from his slumber and was on us something fierce.  We said adieu to our ladies on the quay for moments like this, but us old Jack Tars were on the braces and ready to sail.  We were on the hunt for the great beast.

Please join us for the opening of our new exhibit, New Bedford Whaling Museum’s exhibition, Yankee Baleeiros!.  If you would like to attend please email me with “Ol Bob Wright” in the subject line.

Uniforms and Identity

We have windbreakers and hats (floppy and baseball) for folks who need them.  Please let me know and we can get you all kitted out.

For those awaiting nametags (from last order), thanks for your patience and they are coming soon.  I am also making a new order of nametags.  If you have yet to send me a name request please send me an email with “I got a name, I got a name”

Hopping on two feet two feet,

Tavio
