I hope you are diligently watching the sunsets. There have been some pretty good ones as of late. Balboa Park is celebrating. It’s a nice time of the year to bring some food and camp under a ficus watkinsiana. Enjoy it as people have for the last 100 years.

Tidepool Mid-Season Training – March 14, 10:00am to 4:00pm

We plan to meet in the auditorium for the morning and in the afternoon we frolic in nature’s playground and get our feet (and possibly backsides) wet. Please bring with you a lunch, water bottle, appropriate shoes to wear in the tidepools and a couple layers for warmth. If you plan to attend please email Bonnie ( firstname.lastname@example.org) with “ haliotis cracherodii “ in the subject line.
Earth Day on the Bay – April 26, Time TBD
Our partner, the Maritime Museum of San Diego, hosts a new event this year down at the Embarcadero. We plan to represent and are looking for a couple of folks to help us staff our table. Sign-up to come out shortly on Volgistics and we will need two people in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Trip to the San Diego Zoo – February 21, 9:15am
With epics such as Ken Allen and King Tut the zoo has an amazing legacy. Did you know the plant collection at the zoo is far more valuable than its animal? If you would like to learn the insides of the Zoo, CABR VIP’s are invited to go behind the scenes and check some places out. The guided tour lasts 1.5 hours and after it is over you can walk around the zoo on your own. We are limited to 40 people so it is a first come first serve basis. Please email me with “ovoviviparous” in the subject line.
