Thanks to all those that attended our nice little gathering.  I hope you enjoyed yourselves and for those of you that could not make it we plan another gathering in the summertime.  Also thanks to the CNM Foundation for providing us with the food and the tote bags.

Dusty Socks Club Experience, “What is Riparian?” May 30th 10:00am, Lindo Lakes

A county ranger will lead our group on an excursion to observe exactly what makes up this special habitat. Why is this area so important? Also learn about how this unique natural lake of San Diego is disappearing.  After our meeting please feel free to stay at the park and enjoy all it has to offer. Come join us and learn about Lindo Lakes, a special place. Meet under the big pavilion adjacent to playground (Area 1).
Lindo Lake County Park. 12660 Lindo Lane. Lakeside, CA 92040.

The N triple C

The National Civilian Community Corps through AmeriCoprs selected Cabrillo to host a work crew. The NCCC teams efforts support plant restoration, our urban gardening and nativescaping programs and other infrastructure development.  You are invited to meet this crew the evening of June 3rd at 6:00pm and welcome them to our world.  If you would like to attend please RSVP with “Community Service Trust Act” in the subject line. You can also volunteer with them as they conduct a variety of projects around San Diego so reach out to me if you would like to know their schedule.

I like Wood

Dr. Lombardo is asking for some help in designing a table.  The project is for our greenhouse.  All he needs is the diagram and estimate of materials needed for the table as he has a team assembled to build about 8 to 10 of them. Please email keith_lombardo@nps.gov with “Roscoe The Wood Guy” in the subject line if you can help

June 2nd, Full Moon Event, 6:30pm

Please join us as the CNM Conservancy hosts another evening event at the Park.  Enjoy the sunset, the full moon rise and Cabrillo without the crowds of our daytime visiting folk.  Bring yourself dinner and a guest and enjoy!
