Good Tidings to You All,

I hope you are preparing for a fun and safe weekend.  Summer is in full swing at Cabrillo and we watch the coastal eddy dance.   I have been hiding in the bushes for some time but have dusted the leaves out of my beard and back in Cabrillo action.

The N Triple C,  July 6 10:00am

The Americorps NCCC team helping Cabrillo in its work efforts and vision asks to work with Cabrillo volunteers on Monday.  This is an opportunity to get to learn what kind of work they do as they finish up their year of service volunteering in community development around the country.  We meet at the greenhouse and plan to work there to get the area ready for our nativescape project.  We also will have some food for lunch for us to grind on.  If you would like to help please send me an email with “Green 6” in the subject line.

Move to Improve Festival, July 25^th 9:00am to 4:00pm

Come out and join us for a special event focusing on health and wellness.  The day is lined up with activities, hikes and lots o other cool stuffs.  If you would like to help out for this fun filled day you can sign up on volgistics under special events.  If you do not have special events under your assignment and would like to help please inquirer to cabr_volunteer@nps.gov and we can hook you up.

Cabrillo Sunset 5K, July 25^th 6:00pm to 9:00pm

CNMF hosts this event and is looking for volunteers to assist in making it fun and safe.   Jobs include traffic control, water and check-in stations, table set up as well as hanging posters in your communities for marketing.  If you are interested please send my an email with “3 miles” in the subject line and we can get you all set up.
