Did You Know – National Parks Facts

The nation’s newest National Park, the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve in West Virginia, was upgraded from a National River in 2021.

The only state without a National Park Unit is Delaware.

The Great Smoky Mountains is the most visited park and the Gates of the Arctic is the least visited.

  1. I went to college in Virginia which is where I got to know a less scenic New River. It is one.of the few rivers that flows north into the Ohio, if I remember correctly.
