Volunteer Navigation Committee (VNC)

The VNC was established to help volunteers work more closely with park staff and other CNM organizations, and to give volunteers a voice in the decision making process of the Volunteers In Parks (VIP) program.

The committee usually meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10am at the park. Our next meeting is 10 a.m., Saturday, July 11 in the Admin Building lunchroom. The meetings are open to all volunteers, and all volunteers are eligible to serve on the committee (please contact Tavio del Rio, tavio_del_rio@nps.gov, or Gail Geddis, gail@geddis.org, if you are interested).

A VNC meeting is a great place to find out what is going on at the park and who is doing what. It’s also a great place to get your questions answered and to have your voice heard. Some of the best ideas and suggestions come from volunteers.

The minutes of each VNC meeting will be posted on the VIP Voice (check out the VNC menu item above), along with any special announcements or requests on behalf of VIPs. So check the site often to stay up-to-date on all things Cabrillo.
