A Night to Interpret

Night to InterpretYou are cordially invited to join us for an exciting event to celebrate the interpretive community of San Diego. Cabrillo National Monument is making special accommodations that you don’t want to miss.

In our parks, recreation areas, natural and wilderness spaces, cultural heritage sites and museums, interpreters work with a dedication and passion to help preserve and protect these precious resources for future generations to enjoy as we do now.

Please join us the evening of Friday, July 31, from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. to celebrate our community of interpreters in San Diego. Enjoy the company of professionals in the field amid live music and hors d’oeuvres. Keynote speaker Sarena Gill is an experienced interpreter, serving as the Community Engagement Manager at the Phoenix Zoo, who will be speaking on the current trends and future of interpretation. After the keynote speech, Point Loma Nazarene University will unveil its Certificate of Naturalist Interpretation.

Feel free to bring your friends and coworkers to this event to network with fellow interpreters and enjoy a full moon night with guided trail tours. The lighthouse tower will be open, which will provide an unbeatable view of the city. We thank you for the opportunity to show our support and appreciation and hope you can join us for this special evening. Please RSVP no later than Friday, July 24.

If you have any questions please call Eileen Martinez, Chief of Interpretation at Cabrillo National Monument, 619-557-5450, ext. 4572. Thank you!
