Please join Cabrillo National Monument in celebrating the longest marine mammal migration by attending our Gray Whale Festival on January 25th, 2020. During this event, we will have park staff and whalers from the Natural History Museum at the whale overlook to point out Pacific Gray Whales for you. There will also be booths set up near the visitor center by other ocean-minded organizations to talk to you about whales, other marine life, their habitats, and how we can protect them. This event is one day out of many that you can see Pacific Gray Whales as they swim past our coast on their annual migration. The whales migrate from the waters off Alaska to the lagoons of Baja California, where they give birth and mate. They can be seen passing by our coast late December through mid March. Please join us as we celebrate these magnificent mammals!
Sign up to volunteer for this event, or if shifts are full, feel free to come out and help anyway.
