Two years ago, VIP Romi met Christian, just by asking her routine question,  “Where are you visiting from?”  Christian was from New Jersey.  “Came here for an interview at SDSU…”,   Romi asked what he’ll be studying at SDSU.  To make it short, this young man, had an appointment with Romi’s daughter for his acceptance into the Graduate School!  What are the chances out of all the Visitors we have that he would meet Romi?  So they took their picture, and Romi told him to just surprise her daughter with this photo:

Christian graduated with his Masters Degree, this Spring, in the middle of this Pandemic.  They met for a lunch & celebrated, demanding that he has to come back to Cabrillo National Monument with his future wife, and kids.  He happily agreed.

As Romi says “It was so ‘cool’ to have a second meeting, as you can see in this photo of us, on a very hot day….”
