Help Honor Pauline

Yesterday I told you about our dear friend Pauline who passed away so suddenly last week. If you missed the post, you can find it at:

Goodbye My Friend

If you would like to help honor Pauline, here are some ways to help support Pauline’s family and to continue Pauline’s mission at Cabrillo.

Meal Train

Pauline’s parents are experiencing unimaginable loss and grief with the passing of their daughter. A meal train has been established to help them through this difficult time. For the past many years, Pauline had been primary caretaker for her aging parents. They could now use help with meals. If you’d like to help, please visit the Meal Train website that has been set up for them. Be sure to check the allergy and additional information page to learn more about foods to avoid and what their favorite meals are.

There are other options on the Meal Train website as well. You can make a monetary or a gift card donation.

Adopt Meg and Ryan

A couple of years ago, Pauline rescued two kittens who she named Megan and Ryan (a reminder of Pauline’s compassion and humor). They quickly became loving companions to her and her aging parents. Despite also loving them as Pauline did, her parents are unable to provide for Meg and Ryan’s basic care on their own. Since they are a bonded pair, we are trying to find a home that they can live together in.

Here is some information about them:

  • Type: Domestic Shorthair Ages: 2.5 years old
  • Vaccinations: Received vaccinations when first adopted. Unknown if any since
  • Spayed/Neutered: Yes
  • Indoor/Outdoor: Indoor only
  • Personality: Extremely shy at first. Once they warm up, they love to snuggle and be with their humans.

If you are interested in adopting these two loving cats, please email CNMVIPVoice@gmail.com

Gifts made in Pauline’s honor will help carry forward the programs that meant so much to her, such as the Tidepool Protection, Education, and Restoration Program; volunteer support and appreciation initiatives; tidepool clean‑ups; the Monumental Conference and so much more. She devoted extraordinary energy and love to Cabrillo National Monument.

For those who wish to honor Pauline’s memory, donations may be made to Cabrillo National Monument Foundation at cnmf.org or by mail at:

Her legacy lives on in the beauty of the park she cherished and in all those who continue the work she cared for so deeply.

Cabrillo National Monument Foundation is honored to be working with Pauline’s family and the park to create a lasting legacy that reflects all she gave to this special place. Pauline’s passion, dedication, and generosity touched countless people, and her impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Please help honor Pauline through your support. Thank you.

  1. I just made a donation to the park and I wanted to make it in honor of Pauline, but there was nowhere to put that information.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. There is a note section at checkout for donations and folks can say there who the donation is in honor of. The foundation will mark your donation in memory of Pauline.
