A time lapse video was created on January 31, 2022 of the changing tides at Cabrillo National Monument. The video was created over nine hours showing the progression from high tide (+7.3 feet) around 8am going to a low tide (-2.0 feet) around 3pm.

As the tide recedes from the cliffs, visitors start exploring the tidepools. The number of visitors can range from several hundred to several thousand people while the tidepools are exposed.
This is excellent, nine hours in 3:40 minutes. Dan – great work!
